Crown Zenith is coming soon, and as your local game store, we here at Amazing Discoveries welcome you to our review of the top 5 cards in the upcoming Pokemon TCG set. In this highly anticipated set, players can expect to find some amazing new cards to add to their collections. In this blog, we will be highlighting the top 5 cards that we are most excited about and why they deserve a spot in your decks.

Zamazenta VSTAR

Zamazenta VSTAR from Crown Zenith is an exciting new addition to the Pokemon TCG. Its main attack, Giga Impact, does a massive 220 damage, making it a formidable attacker. While this attack does prevent Zamazenta VSTAR from attacking the next turn, its ability, Star Shield, lowers any damage done to it by 100 during your opponent's next turn. This, combined with helpful cards like a switch or escape rope, makes this drawback less impactful than it otherwise would be. In addition, Zamazenta VSTAR works well in existing archetypes featuring Zacian V and Zamazenta V, making it an easy addition to your steel-type decks. Overall, Zamazenta VSTAR is a powerful new addition and one that is sure to make a splash in Standard play for months to come.

Regigigas VSTAR

Regigigas VSTAR is another exciting new addition to the Pokemon TCG. With an impressive 300 HP, Regigigas VSTAR is one of the tankiest 2 prize Pokemon in the game. Its attack does a hefty 230 damage for just 3 colorless energy, making it a great choice for many decks due to its colorless attack.

One of the standout features of Regigigas VSTAR is its ability, which allows you to discard one of your opponent's benched Pokemon and all cards attached to it when they have only 1 prize card left. This can be a major disruption at a crucial moment in the game and can easily lock up a victory for you.

Overall, Regigigas VSTAR is a powerful new card in Crown Zenith that is sure to make a big impact on the Standard Format. Its high HP and devastating attack make it a formidable Pokemon, and its ability to disrupt your opponent's strategy makes it a great choice for many decks.

Zacian VSTAR

Zacian VSTAR in Crown Zenith is a powerful addition to the Standard format of the Pokemon TCG. Its main attack, Breaking Edge, is already respectable with a damage output of 200 and has the added bonus of not being affected by any weakness, resistance, or effects on your opponent's Pokemon. It’s VSTAR power, Star Sword, is an attack that does a massive 310 damage, making it capable of knocking out most if not all Pokemon in the format. One of the best things about Zacian VSTAR is how easy it is to include in your deck, as it is an evolution of Zacian V which is already played in a lot of decks. Additionally, Zacian V's Intrepid Sword ability will make it easy to ramp into the VSTAR version. Expect to see this card dominating top tables in local game stores for the foreseeable future.

Sky Seal Stone

Sky Steal Stone is a new tool card in Crown Zenith that allows Basic Pokemon V to take an additional prize card when they knock out Pokemon VMAX or VSTAR Pokemon. This card is incredibly powerful because it allows you to level the playing field against VSTAR and VMAX decks, which have proven to be very strong in the Pokemon TCG.

Additionally, Sky Steal Stone also powers up Basic Pokemon V which are great attackers such as Zacian V, by giving them an extra chance to take a prize card, making it easier to close out a game. This card also makes 3 prize turns regular and consistent, similar to how the card ADP was in previous formats, making it a reliable option for players.

Overall, Sky Steal Stone is a useful tool card that provides players with a great way to gain an advantage against VMAX and VSTAR decks and gives Basic Pokemon V an extra chance to take an additional prize card making it an important card for players to consider in their deck building strategies moving forward.

Radiant Eternatus

Radiant Eternatus card in Crown Zenith is a very useful new Pokemon card that has the ability to search your deck for up to 2 Pokémon VMAX and put them onto your Bench. Skipping the Basic V Stage makes this a huge  When you play this card from your hand onto your bench, you may use this ability, and if you do, your turn ends. This may seem like a huge drawback, however, used on the first turn when you can not attack anyway it is absolutely bonkers.

This card is particularly powerful for decks that rely on specific attackers and can be used in any deck running VMAX Pokemon, making it a versatile option for many players. Historically, cards that search the deck for specific Pokemon have been very powerful, making Radiant Eternatus a valuable addition to any player's collection. Additionally, this card has already seen tournament play in Japan to great success, which is a testimony to its power and usefulness. Expect this card to be ramping out VMAX’s for as long as it is legal in Standard.
